At the door
The pass, the desk, the badge.
- Once a ticket is claimed, the app shows the pass: one QR code per person per event, and the tickets. It works without signal: stored on the device, refreshed daily, dropped after months, at sign-out, or when the server refuses it.
- Staff open the desk in the dashboard and scan the pass, scan an imported barcode, or search by name or email. A code from another event does not match.
- The desk shows every ticket the person holds. Staff pick one, check them in, and print the badge. The first check-in claims the ticket, because staff verified the person.
- The badge prints to the design the host made, with name, title, organization, ticket type, and QR code, through the browser's print dialog. Staff can correct a name first. Printing is not a check-in.
- Every check-in appends a record, so re-entry and multi-day events work.
Rules: the QR code carries only the person and the event, signed; a photographed badge can be scanned but never signs anyone in. The desk needs a connection.
