Publish an event
Draft, build, publish, and what the host pays.
- A host owner creates the event: name, address, dates, venue, description. It is a draft that only its host, the host's members, and its event members can open; the cover is added when they edit it.
- They build it in the dashboard: sessions, contributors, and organizations, each with tags that group them into sections such as Keynote, Speaker, Sponsor; ticket types; products; the badge design. Anything can stay hidden until it is final.
- Owners add event members to this one event, as admin or staff, when outsiders help.
- The owner publishes and chooses: a free event, up to the free cap; a full event, paying the base fee at Stripe Checkout, which saves the card; or the yearly plan. A host on the plan publishes at once.
- The event page is public. As a full event grows, each time the ticket count crosses a block, the next block is charged to the saved card and Stripe emails a receipt.
- Archiving hides the event and keeps everything. An event with sales cannot be deleted.
Rules: a product priced above zero means a full event. Every ticket ever issued counts, revoked ones included. When a free event reaches the cap, invites and walk-ins pause until the host upgrades; store orders and imports never pause. The base fee is the price on the day of publish, and a growth block is charged at the price of the day it is crossed. A fee is never refunded.
